International workshop to launch the SSHRC-funded and community-supported partnership grant, Food: Locally Embedded, Globally Engaged. The workshop, held at the Balsillie School for International Affairs, brought together faculty and students, practitioners and government officials to share their work and talk about their work in sustainable food systems. They focused on three questions: how to increase integration across scales and disciplines, how/whether to scale up and the need to identify examples of innovative governance.
